Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at UWE, she was diagnosed in 2006 with a rare respiratory disease. Her book Illness is published by Acumen. Recently she's been working with the NHS on a ‘philosophical tool-kit’ to bring the discipline closer to people's lives, in particular for those confronting serious illness.
