Dorothea Olkowski is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Director of Cognitive Studies at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Her work focuses on continental philosophy, cognitive science, with particular attention to Bergson, Merleau-Ponty, and Deleuze. She is the author of more than one hundred articles and several books, including Giles Deleuze and the Ruin of Representation (University of California Press, 1999), The Universal (In the Realm of the Sensible): Beyond Continental Philosophy (Columbia University Press, 2007), Postmodern Philosophy and the Scientific Turn (Indiana University Press, 2012) and most recently Deleuze, Bergson, Merleau-Ponty: The Logic and Pragmatics of Creation, Affective Life, and Perception (Indiana University Press, 2021).
