Elvis Imafidon
Elvis Imafidon is Reader in African Philosophy and Head of the School of History, Religions and Philosophies at SOAS University of London. He is also Chair of the Centre for Global and Comparative Philosophies at SOAS and Research Associate of the African Centre for Epistemology and the Philosophy of Science at the University of Johannesburg.His extensive work on African philosophy includes the books African Philosophy and the Otherness of Albinism: White Skin, Black Race (Routledge, 2019), the Handbook of African Philosophy of Difference (Springer, 2020), the Handbook of African Philosophy (Springer, 2023), and most recently Doing African Philosophy: Beyond Textuality and Individual Authorship (Bloomsbury, 2026).
