Emma Slade
Emma Slade became the first Western woman to be ordained a Buddhist nun in 2014. After a prestigious education and a high-flying career as a financial analyst at HSBC, a traumatic experience of being held hostage and robbed led Emma to relinquish her corporate life and convert to Buddhism.
