Federica Coppola is Associate Professor of Criminal Law at IE University Law School, Spain, and Research Affiliate at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security, and Law. working on criminal law theory, punishment, and neurolaw. She was Robert A. Burt Presidential Scholar in Society and Neuroscience at Columbia University and has held visiting positions at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, UPenn's Center for Neuroscience and Society, and Cambridge's Institute of Criminology and Clare Hall College. Her research has appeared in in the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, Criminal Law and Philosophy, and the Journal of Law and the Biosciences, and she is the author of The Emotional Brain and the Guilty Mind (2021).
