Glenn Greenwald

After founding a law firm concentrating on First Amendment litigation (protecting free speech and a free press), Glenn Greenwald turned to journalism. He became a vocal critic of the Iraq War and American foreign policy, a position he has maintained. He started contributing to Salon in 2007 and to The Guardian in 2012, and in the latter published a series of reports detailing covert American and British global surveillance programmes based on classified documents provided by Edward Snowden. For this work, his team won a Pulitzer Prize.

Glenn Greenwald has written multiple best-selling books, including How Would a Patriot Act and No Place to Hide: Edward Snowden, the NSA, and the U.S. Surveillance State. He now hosts System Update, where he has hosted academics, political figures, and commentators Jeffrey Sachs, John Mearsheimer, Edward Snowden, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Nick Fuentes and many others.
