Karl Friston is Professor of Imaging Neuroscience at University College London and Principal Research Fellow at the Wellcome Trust. A former President of the International Organization for Human Brain Mapping and an elected Fellow of the Royal Society, his work on the free energy principle has earned him the Minerva Golden Brain Award, Collège de France Medal, and Glass Brain Award.
