Michael Shermer is an American science writer, historian of science, founder of The Skeptics Society, and editor-in-chief of its magazine The Sceptic. He is also a Presidential Fellow at Chapman University, and hosts The Michael Shermer Show podcast. Shermer is the author of more than a dozen books, including the New York Times bestsellers Why People Believe Weird Things and The Believing Brain, along with The Moral Arc, Heavens on Earth, Giving the Devil His Due, Conspiracy: Why the Rational Believe the Irrational, and his latest, Truth: What It Is, How to Find It, and Why It Still Matters.
