Natalie Lawrence is an author and illustrator whose work explores our relationship with the natural world through multiple lenses — from the biological to the mythic and psychoanalytic. She holds a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the making and meaning of monstrous creatures in seventeenth-century Europe, and is the co-author of Planta Sapiens: Unmasking Plant Intelligence (Little, Brown, 2022) with neuroscientist Paco Calvo.
