Noël Carroll is Dstinguished Professor of Philosophy at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Noël Carroll is a distinguished Professor of Philosophy at City University of New York. He is leading American philosopher of art, best known for his work in the philosophy of film, and is the former president of the American Society for Aesthetics. His books include The Philosophy of Horror (1990), A Philosophy of Mass Art (1998), and Philosophy of Motion Pictures (2008), among many others.
