Ezgi Basaran

Ezgi Basaran is a journalist and author. She was the youngest ever editor of Radikal, the biggest centre-left news outlet in Turkey, and was the first woman to hold the role.  Ezgi is currently at Oxford University, where her research focuses on the interplay between North African Islamist movements and Turkish Islamism. She also recently wrote ‘Frontline Turkey: The Conflict at the Heart of the Middle East.’
