Sami Timimi is a British psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and author, known for his critical psychiatry perspective on mental health and childhood. He qualified as a doctor at Dundee University in 1988 and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1992, later being awarded Fellowship of the College in 2012. Since 1997, he has worked as a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is also an experienced psychotherapist.
