Sandra Harding
Pioneer of feminist standpoint epistemology
Sandra Harding is a philosopher of science known for her pioneering work on feminist epistemology and feminist standpoint theory. She coined the term 'Strong Objectivity' to describe the research practice she proposes and to be contrasted with the "weak objectivity" of supposed value-neutral research. She is the author and editor of many books, including 'Objectivity and Diversity' (2015), 'Whose Science? Whose Knowledge?' (1991), and 'The Science Question in Feminism' (1986).
