Steven Bonnell (known online as Destiny) is an internet personality, live streamer and political commentator. He was among the first people to stream video games online full-time and received attention as a pioneer of the industry. He became more politically engaged in the run up to Trump’s election in 2016, annoyed by the stupidity of the online political conversation. After the election, he began debating far-right, white supremacist and antifeminist internet commentators in YouTube videos. With his approachable gamer style, he proved an influential and effective opposition to the rise of the alt-right. From 2018, he began taking on opponents from the left too.
