Business Development Executive

We are offering an opportunity to play a central role in the fundraising efforts of a rapidly expanding and unique arts organisation, the Institute of Art and Ideas (IaI). The IaI seeks to realise the potential of the twenty-first century intellectual landscape, bringing together leading thinkers from a broad range of disciplines and staging two festivals every year, HowTheLightGetsIn in Spring and Crunch in the Autumn, comprising a total of over 500 events per year.

In pursuing its agenda of raising the level of cultural entertainment and engagement, we have global ambitions and are rapidly expanding our online broadcasting presence on iai.tv, and this affords many attractive opportunities for potential partners to work with us. With our recently acquired charitable status opening up new avenues for future growth and development, the time has never been better to join our dedicated team.

This is a unique opportunity for a talented Business Development Executive to take the lead in expanding our friends and patrons initiatives whilst providing support in sourcing new revenue through trusts and funds, as well as through our corporate sponsors. Working directly with the Head of Development, you will immediately establish your own areas of responsibility with the opportunity to make a real contribution to the projects.

The ideal candidate will be as exceptional as our project. The events we create are diverse and intellectually stimulating and so you will need to be comfortable in understanding our editorial content and seeing how it might fit well with potential sponsors and patrons.

An excellent academic record is a must with a minimum 2.1 degree from a top university. You will also have at least a year of experience in fundraising or business development and a proven and demonstrable interest in the creative industries.

If you think you have what it takes to succeed in this role please send a CV and covering letter to jobs@artandideas.org, stating ‘Business Development Executive’ in the subject line.
