HowTheLightGetsIn Festival Kick-Starter Programme
Want to get a taste of working in media and the arts from within the world’s largest philosophy and music festival?
The IAI Kick-Starter Programme gives young people considering a career in the media or creative industries the opportunity to gain valuable skills and work experience by volunteering as part of the Institute of Art and Ideas festival team. Successful applicants will play a key role in the production of HowTheLightGetsIn Hay 2019, whilst learning new skills, meeting new friends and contacts, and gaining valuable knowledge and experience for their future careers. What’s more, Programme volunteers will receive a Staff wristband giving them access to a festival debates, live music, film and comedy, as well as discounts at festival eateries and some festival stalls.
Places on the IAI Kick Starter Programme are available to people aged 18+ from around the UK and beyond. We currently have opportunities for those looking for experience in any of the following areas:
- Events Management
- Filming & Broadcast Media
- Glamping & Accommodation
- Press & Journalism
- Education & Development
- Events Marketing
All applicants must be available between Tuesday 21st May and Monday 27th May. Some of the available volunteer places can include additional work experience at the IAI’s London office. Please note that whilst we will make every effort to place you in your preferred area of skills development, this may not always be possible and we reserve the right to offer you a place in a different area of the Programme if necessary.
