Kristen Ghodsee
Kristen Ghodsee is an ethnographer. She is a professor and chair of Russian and East European Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Her most recent publication Everyday Utopia explores the history of utopian thinking. Beyond this, she has written extensively on post socialist societies and feminism, including her renowned Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism. A specialist on gender and post socialist cultural studies, her articles and essays have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Republic, Le Monde Diplomatique, and Jacobin.
